Biography

Sam Worthington was born in England and grew up in in Perth, Australia. He worked as a bricklayer before training at Australia’s National Institute of Dramatic Art. After graduating, he landed roles in Australian movies including Bootmen and Dirty Deeds. His big break came in Somersault starring opposite Abbie Cornish. He has found international fame for his lead role in Avatar. He has starred in various movies including Terminator Salvation and Clash Of The Titans.

  • He spent six months auditioning for his role in Avatar.
