Billy Bob Thornton spent his early years living in a small house without running water or electricity. At high school, he met his writing partner Tom Epperson. In the eighties, he moved to LA to pursue a career in acting and writing. He also sang in a band called Tres Hombres. After years of waiting for his big break, he made his own luck by writing and starring in the movie Sling Blade. He has starred in a variety of movies from Armageddon to Bad Santa.
