Biography

William Shatner began acting as a child on Canadian radio shows. After graduating from university, he refined his acting skills at the National Repertory Theater of Ottawa. He began his career acting on stage in Canada and the US. He also starred in movies such as The Explosive Generation and TV shows like Alfred Hitchcock Presents. He became well known for playing Captain James T. Kirk in Star Trek from 1966 to 1969. He made his directorial debut in 1989 with Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.
