Biography

Tilda Swinton performed in college plays while studying Social and Political Science at Cambridge University. She honed her acting ability at the Royal Shakespeare Company and at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh. She began her movie career in art house movies, like War Requiem with director Derek Jarman. She got recognition for playing a man and a woman in Orlando. Her movie repertoire ranges from Adaptation to The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
