At New York University, Adam Sandler began doing stand-up comedy in clubs and on campuses. He got a minor role on The Cosby Show at college. He was spotted by comedian Dennis Miller at a comedy club in LA. He went on to write and perform on Saturday Night Live. He started appearing in movies including Airheads and Billy Madison. He has since founded his own company, Happy Madison Productions. The company has produced movies such as Paul Blart: Mall Cop.
