Daniel Radcliffe's parents were a literary agent and a casting agent. He started acting at the age of five. His first professional acting job was in a TV adaptation of David Copperfield. He was spotted by movie producer, David Heyman, when he accompanied his father to watch a play in London. After a series of auditions, he won the title role in the Harry Potter franchise. He has since made his West End and Broadway debut in the play Equus.
