Robert Pattinson was raised in London by his father, a vintage car importer, and his mother who worked for a modelling agency. He began modelling at the age of 12. When work dried up, he began acting. He earned a supporting role in the TV movie Ring of the Nibelungs. He gained recognition playing Cedric in Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire. He has since gained worldwide fame playing Edward in the Twilight movies.
Robert Pattinson beat over 3,000 people for the role of Edward in Twilight.
He felt that his early modelling work dried up because his appearance became too masculine.
After his Harry Potter role, he decided to do some theatre acting. He landed the lead role in the Royal Court production of The Woman Before. However, he was let go just before opening night. He almost gave up acting at this point.
He is an accomplished musician and plays the guitar and the piano. He began taking lessons when he was just three years old.
Remember Me marks his first time working behind the camera. As well as starring in the lead role, he was also the movie's executive producer.
