At the age of three, Guy Pearce and his family left England and emigrated to Australia. Growing, up he was an active member of local community theatre groups. As a teenager, he took up bodybuilding and entered numerous youth competitions. He first gained recognition in the Australian soap opera Neighbours. After four years on the series, he moved into movies with homegrown films including Heaven Tonight and Flynn. He has since found fame in US movies such as Memento and LA Confidential.
