Biography

Clive Owen was raised by his mother and stepfather as his father deserted the family when Clive was three. As a teenager, he starred in many amateur plays. He went on to study at RADA. After graduation, he won a place at the Young Vic Theatre. In 1997, he had a hit on the London stage with Closer. In 2004, he starred in the movie version of Closer with Julia Roberts. This role helped him crack Hollywood. He has since starred in hit movies including Duplicity, Inside Man and Children Of Men.
