Biography

Carey Mulligan moved to Germany when she was three. She lived there for five years. She became interested in acting after watching her older brother in a school play. At 18, she landed the role of Kitty Bennett in Pride & Prejudice. She starred in several TV costume dramas including Bleak House and Northanger Abbey. In 2007 she made her Broadway debut in The Seagull. In 2009 she found international fame playing the lead role in An Education.
