Biography

Jane Lynch grew up in Illinois. She studied theatre at Illinois State University and Cornell University. She began her career performing with the Chicago Shakespeare Theater and touring with the comedy troupe Second City. In 2000 she got her big movie break in Best In Show. She has since built up a reputation playing comedic roles in a variety of TV shows like Arrested Development and Glee, and movies including The 40 Year Old Virgin and Julie & Julia.
