Christopher Lee joined the army during the Second World War. After his army service, he trained as an actor at J. Arthur Ranks Charm School. He got his big break in The Curse of Frankenstein. He became well known for his roles as Dracula and in the Hammer horror movies. In 1973 he stared as Lord Summerisle in the cult movie The Wicker Man. He has since starred in a variety of movies from Sleepy Hollow to Boogie Woogie. In 2001, he was awarded a CBE and in 2009 he was knighted.
