Texas-born Tommy Lee Jones funded his education by working on oil-fields and earning scholarships to St. Mark’s School of Texas and Harvard University. After college, he moved to New York. The following year, he made his movie debut as a Harvard graduate in Love Story. He came to prominence in 1981 for his Golden Globe nominated performance in Coal Miner’s Daughter. He has continued to attract audiences with movies like The Fugitive and No Country For Old Men.
