Growing up, Jonah Hill dreamed of becoming a writer on The Simpsons. Instead he studied acting at New School University. He landed his first movie role in I Heart Huckabees after his friends, Rebecca and Jake, introduced him to their father, Dustin Hoffman. He then played supporting roles in Judd Apatow’s movies such as Knocked Up. He got his first lead role in Superbad. He has built up a reputation as a comic actor in movies including Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him To The Greek.
When Jonah Hill discussed Russell Brand with The Guardian, he said "he asked me to hang out after work. I figured we'd go and get a coffee or something. We ended up in a gentleman's club...I get a different experience there because I'm recognisable. As opposed to being, like: "Oh my God, there's Jonah Hill. I'm gonna give him a lapdance!", the strippers go: "Oh my God. There's Jonah Hill, I'm gonna talk to him about my childhood for 45 minutes and find out how I can become an actor too!".
In an interview with Ugo Entertainment, he said that he and Michael Cera “owned and operated an ice-cream truck” while filming Superbad.
He once shared an apartment with Justin Long. According to digitalspy, Justin said he moved out of their flat because they "got like an old married couple" having lots of "nagging fights".
His father was a tour accountant for Guns N' Roses. His brother, Jordan Feldstein, has managed bands including Collective Soul and Maroon 5.
He voiced the character Tommy in Horton Hears A Who!
