Biography

Zach Galifianakis grew up in North Carolina. He left North Carolina State University without graduating and moved to New York. He became a stand up comedian and he appeared on several Comedy Central TV shows such as Dog Bites Man. He also began acting in US TV series like Boston Common. He branched into movies with minor roles in Flushed and Heartbreakers. In 2009 he landed his breakthrough movie role playing Alan Garner in The Hangover.
