After seeing Multi-Facial, Steven Spielberg asked him to audition for Saving Private Ryan. He has since become a renowned Hollywood action hero in movies including Fast & Furious.
Vin Diesel founded Tigon Studios that produces video games to compliment The Chronicles of Riddick movie trilogy. He has also founded One Race Films and Racetrack Records.
He supposedly created his stage name while working as a bouncer as he did not want to give out his real name on the job. Vin is short for his surname Vincent. Diesel is based on a nickname that Chuck Norris gave him.
He learned a fighting style called kali for his role of Riddick in The Chronicles of Riddick. Kali is a form of blade fighting. Kali gets its name from the energetic Hindu goddess who is often pictured with swords.
He was raised by his mother, a psychologist and astrologist, and stepfather, a theatre teacher.
