Biography

Richard Dreyfuss was raised in Brooklyn and LA. His mother was a peace activist and he was a conscientious objector during the Vietnam War. After acting on stage and TV in the 60s, he found fame in Jaws in 1975. Following a period in rehab, he came back with Down And Out In Beverly Hills in 1986. He has subsequently appeared in a variety of movies, including Mr Holland’s Opus, What About Bob?, W and Piranha.
