Sacha Baron Cohen studied History at Cambridge University where he acted in college plays. After graduating, he became a fashion model and a presenter for Windsor TV and Pump TV. In 1995, he answered an open call for presenters for The 11 O’Clock Show. His audition tape as a fictional television reporter from Albania captured the producer’s attention. He is well known on TV and the big screen as Ali G, Borat and Bruno.

- As a child, Sacha Baron Cohen was in break-dance crew called Black on White. His mother would drive the boys to Covent Garden so they could perform their dance routines in public.
- When filming Da Ali G show, he gave the illusion of being a junior member of the camera crew to unsuspecting interviewees. The interviewee assumed that the sharp-looking director from the fictional United World Productions was the interviewer until the camera started rolling.
- Isla Fisher converted to Judaism to marry Sacha in March 2010. They have a daughter named Olive Cohen.
- He got fired from Windsor TV for presenting an inappropriate broadcast on Valentine's Day.
