George Clooney was born to an Irish-American family. He led a nomadic early life due to his father’s career as a television host. In 1981, he moved to LA to kick start his career. He found fame in 1994 as surgeon Dr. Doug Ross in the medical TV drama E.R. Since leaving television, he has acted in a diverse range of movies from O Brother, Where Art Thou? to Batman & Robin. He also supports a range of humanitarian causes.
