Daniel Craig was raised by his mother in Liverpool. As a child, he performed in school plays. By sixteen, he had joined the National Youth Theatre troupe. He travelled with them to Valencia and Moscow, performing on stage. He graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1991. He shot to fame playing supporting roles in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider in 2001 and Road To Perdition in 2002. He gained worldwide recognition in 2005 when he became the sixth actor to play James Bond.
