Something dangerous is lurking in the local the forest near the mountains. The government claims that bears are responsible for a number of recent killings. But three students believe trolls are to blame. They decide to pack their film equipment and find out for themselves. They track down a legendary troll hunter and set off to find the truth. But when they come across the gigantic monsters they realise they might have made a terrible mistake. Subtitled. Some scary scenes.

- There are several references in the film to old Scandinavian folklore. The reference to goats on a bridge and a troll under it comes from the fairytale Three Billy Goats Gruff.
