Based on true events. Erik (Josh Hartnett) is a reporter in desperate need of a great story. His big break comes when he meets a homeless man (Samuel L. Jackson) who calls himself Champ. The man claims to be Battling Bob Satterfield, a former boxing world champion. Erik has stumbled across the story he has been waiting for. But is Champ the man really who he claims to be?
