Claireece (Gabourey Sidibe) is a 16 year old girl. She's pregnant with her second child and mentally and physically bullied by her mother (Mo'Nique). At school she has managed to get decent grades while hiding the fact she is illiterate. But hope arrives when she is offered a place at an alternative school. Her new teacher Ms. Rain (Paula Patton) makes her realise she can dream of a better life. Co starring Mariah Carey and Lenny Kravitz. Contains very strong language, intense sexual violence and incest abuse.
