Linda Blair stars as Regan, a 12-year-old girl whose increasingly bizarre behaviour becomes too much for her mother (Ellen Burstyn) to handle. As her daughter's condition worsens she calls in a young priest, Father Karras (Jason Miller). Karras becomes convinced that the girl is possessed by a demon. As Karras arranges an exorcism the demon's rage intensifies. In a bid to save the young girl, blood is shed and lives are lost in this shocking 70s horror based on a William Peter Blatty novel. Very strong language and bloody supernatural horror violence.
