In the year 2019 the majority of the world's population are vampires. Humans are now an endangered species that are farmed for food and have been forced into hiding. Edward Dalton (Ethan Hawke) is a vampire researcher who is against feeding on humans. Dalton is desperately trying to come up with a substitute for blood before humans are wiped out forever. But when he uncovers a way of saving the human race, he finds himself being hunted alongside the humans. With Sam Neill and Willem Dafoe.
