Teenagers Cindy (Michelle Williams) and Dean (Ryan Gosling) meet and fall passionately in love. Years later they are married with a child, but their relationship has broken down. Cindy has changed, but Dean is the same guy he was when they first met. They spend a night in a hotel to try and rekindle their love and save their marriage.
