England, 1921. A ghostly figure has been spotted walking the halls of Rockwood Boarding School. Florence Cathcart (Rebecca Hall), a noted academic and renowned sceptic, has been brought in to prove that the spirit is not real. But when Florence begins her investigations she is unable to explain a number of bizarre and frightening events. Florence is gripped with fear as she finds herself in the presence of a terrifying supernatural entity. With Dominic West and Imelda Staunton. Strong violence and occasional moderate nudity.
